The goal of the BeingYourGuide app was to create a seamless travel planning experience, offering curated itineraries with detailed activities, accommodations, and pricing. The app needed to be user-friendly, intuitive, and responsive across devices to cater to a broad audience of travelers.

Impactful Web designs for businesses 

I was tasked with this challenge as a step of the hiring process for a product based company. I have referred to the company as Alpha from here.

Redesign the job description input field on Alpha’s “Create New Job” process to address the issues of poor quality job descriptions, discriminatory language, and the inclusion of unauthorized contact information.

Alpha is an ATS system that helps users post ATS-based career opportunities and helps suitable candidates faster.

Alpha users often struggle with creating clear and compliant job descriptions. Currently, users face challenges such as:1. Clarity and Structure:&nbsp;Job descriptions often lack proper segmentation into sections like roles, responsibilities, and company information.2. Compliance:&nbsp;Job descriptions sometimes contain discriminatory language related to age, gender, or marital status, which can cause them to be flagged on job boards like LinkedIn.3. Unauthorized Information:&nbsp;Users sometimes include phone numbers, WhatsApp links, or external URLs, which is against the policies of many job boards.4. Excessive Length:&nbsp;Some users might create overly long job descriptions that are not concise, which can lead to important details being buried in too much text. This can deter potential applicants who prefer to quickly scan job postings.5. Lack of Keywords:&nbsp;Users might omit critical keywords that job seekers use in their search queries. Without these keywords, the job posting might not appear in search results or might not attract the right candidates.

My goal was to come up with a flow where the user is in control of keeping different sections inside the job description. These sections are categorized as Responsibilities, Qualifications, About company, Perks etc:

I started my process with ideation on how to move forward with this challenge, Understand other ATS system, how they handle job descriptions etc:

Next I started doing basic wireframes in my notepad, sketching out ideas trying to come up with flows that made sense. Once I got that part right , I moved to my tool of choice: Figma, and started basic wireframes fo my idea.

I started the HiFi process by making notes on colors, fonts, and styles used in the original website. Then converted LoFi mocks to Hifi mocks in figma, applying the correct styling, colors, and fonts. The next step was to create components wherever necessary and move to prototyping.

Design Components and states:

This Challenge was different for me in a lot of ways, most of the time, challenges involve redesigning, entires page, or app design, coming up with new designs etc:. But here the challenge lied in design thinking, and coming up with a user-friendly flow.

The app focuses on shopify merchant core needs including an eye catching Customer account page, Next generation reward program, Social logins, Wishlist, Integrations, Customization as per business unique need.

The goal of the Flits Shopify dashboard redesign was to improve the user experience for store owners by providing a more intuitive, visually appealing, and data-driven interface. The design needed to streamline navigation, enhance usability, and ensure that key metrics were easily accessible for efficient decision-making.
